In the NSE accurate and timely data is very crucial, making those data available to customers is a priority; therefore the process has to be tackled very carefully. Data in the NSE is gathered and used for information distribution, the availability of the right kind of information and the accurate flow of it. The NSE offers data and information products which are a by-product of our exchange (listing and trading) services. Our information products are developed with data collected directly from source.​
Some products are available for purchase while others are complimentary, i.e., distributed free of charge.

Data Products
NSE Equity Level 1 is a product information service provided by the NSE that provides basic information about the equities "a stock (share) or any other security representing an ownership interest." traded on the NSE. This product provides a snap shot of the market.
NSE Equity Level 2 is a more improved and value added version of Equity Level 1. This information service further improves accessibility to clients by providing additional content and information.
NSE Debt Securities is a product information service provided by the NSE that provides comprehensive information about the bonds "issued by a company or government to finance growth or infrastructure projects" showcased on the NSE market.
NSE Indices is a product information service provided by the NSE that provides comprehensive information about the Indices "a Statistical indicator used in measuring and reporting changes in the market value of a group of stocks/shares" on the NSE market.
NSE Corporate Level 1 is a product information service provided by the NSE that provides basic information about the Issuers "legal entities that develop, register and sell securities for the purpose of financing their operations" of securities on the Exchange.
NSE Corporate Level 2 is a more improved and value added version of Corporate Level 1. This information service further improves accessibility to clients by providing additional content and information.

NSE Performance Management is a product information service provided by the NSE that provides comprehensive and comparative market information for all traded securities on the Exchange.
NSE Corporate Actions is a product information service provided by the NSE that allows users to have access to several comprehensive reports that provides corporate actions for all securities listed on the NSE.
NSE Custom Select is a product information service, provided by the NSE, which allows users to select and build customized data reports online. Rather than users simply purchasing packages, they could build their own package by purchasing pieces of data required. The cost will be based overall on the number of requests.
NSE Trading Floor Level 1 is a product information service provided by the NSE, which allows users to view live trades directly on the NSE website. Users simply log into the website and are able to view the trades as they are being executed.

The data products offered by the NSE would be made available free of charge for a period of 2 months (20th February 2012) where after, all data products would be made available at a fee.
For more information on the NSE data products, please navigate to the NSE Data portal tab under market data. To subscribe to the data products, once in the data portal, select the desired product, confirm the price, retrieve bank details from the Accounts Department of the NSE then make the necessary payments to the bank. Upon receipt of a teller, log on to the NSE Data portal and create an account entering the necessary information from the teller, please allow 24hrs to access the product purchased.
