NSE Celebrates Outgoing Council Members

The Nigerian Stock Exchange organised a send-forth Dinner Party in honour of its outgoing Council Members on the 24th of September, 2014 at the Oriental Hotel, Lagos.

Speaking at the dinner, Mr. Oscar Onyema, CEO, NSE “This event was designed to appreciate and bid farewell to these exceptional men who have contributed immensely to the growth and development, not just of The Nigerian ​​Stock Exchange but the Nigerian Capital Market as a whole. "These retiring Council members, ably led by the truly visionary Alhaji Aliko Dangote, GCON, having spurred our development in line with our vision for a robust exchange, one with exponential growth, coupled with sound governance and effective systems and structures," Onyema added.

The event which had in attendance the Executive Governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, Honorable Minister of Communication Technology, Dr. (Mrs.) Omobola Johnson, past presidents of the Exchange and captains of industries amidst others also presented an opportunity to introduce the new NSE Council members to the capital market stakeholders. 

"As with life, this living Exchange is in motion; it is not static and over the years has had to reinvent itself in order to stay relevant in our operating environment. May I welcome the incoming Council members, starting with the incoming President of The Exchange, Mr Aigboje Aig- Imoukhuede, CON," said Onyema.
